Stand Up Paddling has a vast history.  As the sport has become popular different teachers and organizations appear on the horizon.   ACA, PaddleFit & WPA Instructors teach paddling skills in approved course outlines. After qualifying in various disciplines and at various levels we teach skills courses and  hold assessments. Our affiliations create programs with measurable and defined progression tracks.

As Instructors we aim to represent and promote these certifying organizations and paddlesports in a positive manner.

Use your paddle board to the max! If you're a land locked surfer, dedicated racer, or Sunday afternoon cruiser come join a class. We teach basic paddle skills and, advanced maneuvers.  "On Water" video taped evaluations, and paddle development based on approved teaching techniques from the American Canoe Association, PaddleFit, and the World Paddle Association from certified instructors.  We take tours to different water destinations and offer YOGA classes.  Check the schedule tab for dates or subscribe to the E-NEWSLETTER at the bottom of the page.


CoreH2OFit is a mobile operation. We operate at public access lakes, rivers, and take trips to beaches on the east coast of the US, the Gulf of Mexico and occasional international destinations.


We paddle year round and use paddle boarding as primary source of exercise.  So if you are a surfer or SUPer, or you are looking to add a fun activity to your work out routine come join us on the water.



 Who can Stand UP Paddle?

  You can Stand Up Paddle (SUP).  SUP is suitable for ages 12 years and older and most abilities.  You, your spouse, parent, grandparent, children,

  friend or neighbor can SUP!  SUP is also perfect for anyone cross training, and competitive or non-competitive athletes.  It is the perfect sport to

  connect your mind, body and spirit.


 What is SUP?

  Stand Up Paddle Boarding is a low impact water sport using a paddle board, and paddle, that strengthens the core muscles, improves balance and

  coordination, and gives you a complete body workout.


 What does learning SUP involve?

  You begin with a short land-based over view of equipment use, SUP laws and water safety.  Next, we enter the water,  launch the board, introduce

  prone paddling, kneeling and finally standing.   Usually within one hour, you become very comfortable on your board  in the water.

  The learning curve for SUP is short for most beginners.


 Why should I try SUP?

  Once you are on the water, you will feel lighter and stronger.  SUP fires up the core like no other movement and is a great full-body workout.  SUP is a

  great way to take advantage of the beauty of water ways and explore these natural resources.


 What should I bring?

  Dress like you are going to the beach.  A swimsuit, shorts, shirt, sunscreen, hat, visor and towel are suitable.  Generally, SUP is done barefoot, but w

  water shoes can also be used.  Water or small snacks are encouraged.  All electronic devices should be stored ashore in a safe location.


 Will I get wet?

  You will be taught the skills you need to stay on your board and enjoy your glide, however, you may WANT to get wet by the end of the session!


 What happens if the weather is bad or I need to cancel?

  If there is bad weather, we will attempt to notify you at least 2 hours in advance. of your scheduled session.  Cancellations will also be noted on the

  website calendar.  If you need to cancel, please provide at least 2 hours notification by email:  Special Tours/Training sessions

  unforeseen circumstances.

CoreH2OFit, LLC is a mobile training and rental service supporting Stand Up Paddling. Our objective is to support the sport of stand up paddling and educate the participants in a proper and responsible manner and promote the proper use of our natural water resources.

The Quick Start Your SUP course is designed to introduce/expose the participant to sufficient skill and knowledge so that they can enjoy the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding on flat water

• Course Prerequisites: None

• Course Duration: Up to 2 hours

• Course Location / Venue: Calm, flat water, protected from wind, waves and outside boat

    traffic, with no apparent current, and within swimming distance of shore.

•  Class Ratio - 5 Students : 1 Instructor.

The Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding course is designed to introduce and expose the participant to sufficient skills and knowledge, so that they can enjoy the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding in a calm, flat water setting.

SUP Skills

A skills course can cover all or part of the course outline and are tailored to fit the needs of the participants.  Skills courses do not have to be taken in a successive order.  At the conclusion of a skills course, participants may receive a participation card.

• Course Prerequisites: None

• Learn and master the skills needed for the assessments courses.

• Learn training drills to improve your paddling technique

• Build on your SUP knowledge base, and open up a new world of paddling options

Assessment Courses

ACA Assessment courses have been developed as a tool to allow paddlers a clear progression of skill development. Courses provide progression in skills and paddling venues associated with specific disciplines and paddlecraft. Upon successful completion of each Skills Assessment checklist, your Instructor will submit the paperwork and you will receive official documentation of your level of skill from the ACA National Office.


Note: to receive Skills Assessment documentation, you must be a current ACA member.

       • Course Prerequisites: Completion of Assessment course (Level Specific)

  • Know exactly what skill level your paddling is at
  • Video of participants strokes, maneuvers, rescues, and skills
  • Copy of participants Assessment form

  • Skills & Assessment

    Skills & assessments classes are schedule and posted as participants sign up. If you or your organization would like to schedule a skills or assessments class and a payment button is not listed above please fill out the form and request to request a date.


    Cost for non ACA members start from $85 per course. ACA fees could apply if participants require results to be reported to ACA.


    Essential Eligibility Criteria: In order to participate in an ACA Skills Course, each participant must satisfy the following essential eligibility criteria:

      • Be able to independently participate in all individual skills and

          activities listed in the course outline while also maintaining an

          appropriate and safe body position

      • Be able to hold their breath while under water and, while in the water

          wearing a properly fitted lifejacket, be able to independently turn

          from a face down to a face up position keeping their head above


       • Be able to effectively communicate with the instructor and other

          course participants

       • Be able to manage all personal care independently, or with the

          assistance of a companion

       • Be able to manage all personal mobility independently, or with the

          assistance of a companion

    Minimum Personal Equipment for the Class: Properly fitted PFD, SUP paddle, SUP Board, appropriate clothing for the weather.
